Last night, the flat mates and I went to platform 9 3/4 at King Cross station. If you don't read Harry Potter, this is the portal that the kids take to get to Hogwarts. As the gracious home to the portal, the real life King's Cross station kindly put a travel cart halfway through the wall for nerdy tourists to take pictures. It was brilliant! Then afterwards, we hiked up to Primrose Hill in Primrose park to check out the amazing view. It was a lot of fun and beautiful. Then we came home and hung out before heading off to bed.
Today has been a pretty slow day. We got up early and traveled to Portobello Market in Notting Hill... Mom, you will love it. We shopped around and then grabbed lunch. The jet lag must still be plaguing us because we all came back to the flat and passed out for a good three hour nap. We just ate dinner and are planning some travel excursions for the upcoming months... Paris? Spain? hmmm where to go where to go...
We are also attempting to plan a trip to Pemberly, the famous home of Mr. Darcy. So far it is going to take us a 20 minute tube ride, to get on a 3 hour train ride, to then walk 6 miles to the house... we aren't sure if this is going to pan out.
Until next time...
Hi Claire--Becky and I didn't get back from KC until about 10:00, and I am still kind of jazzed. So I'm finishing some laundry, etc. before I hit the hay. Dad planted soybeans today. Morgan textede me to say she was in the shower when you called--she is sooo sad she keeps missing your calls. Thanks again for the fun updates! Keep them coming! Love you--Mom
