It is official. Today I went to the Tower of London. It was ev
erything I had hoped and more! It was awesome to see the actual walkways that Anne Boleyn walked on. We stood in the very spot were her head was cut from her body! The coolest part was probably the Traitors Gate. It is the moat you see in movies where people are being taken by a small boat to the Tower to be imprisoned. The actually steps that Anne Boleyn walked up to m
eet her untimely demise are still there! It was awesome... We also go
t to see the bell tower where Sir Thomas Moore was housed before his execution and where Queen Elizabeth I was imprisoned before she was queen because she was suspected of trying to overthrow her sister Queen Mary. AHHH! I may sound like a huge nerd for saying this, but it gave me goose bumps. The fact that it was freezing rain and windy as all get out just made the experience that much more exciting. It was as if God was setting the stage for this historical tour ha ha.
I could go on and on about the tour, but I suppose I will stop... we got back to the flat and ate a quick lunch before heading off to our first internship class. The class consisted of us typing for an hour and a half. Questions were put on the board, and we had to
type our answers. I typed four pages (single spaced!). It was not fun. Then we went around the room and talked about everyones job placement and interviews. Lots of people got some really cool internships and it was fun to hear about them.
After class, we came back to the flat for some flat mate bonding and now we are all nervously pondering tomorrow's activities... our first day of work - DUM DUM DUUUUUHHHMM! I work until 5:30 and then I have to work on a group project at 6. I will report back after my long day tomorrow.
